Brief of activities :

General Project is being implemented to provide necessary operation support to the different project/program. This project is basically an operation management supporting project. The project ensures the appropriate support and monitoring the activities of different project. Under this project some department/section are actively working these are- Finance and Account, Internal Audit, Communication and Documentation, Monitoring and Evaluation, Media and Publication, Information Technology (IT) and Support Service.

Human Resource Management  

  • Provided necessary HR support to 275 staff  working at Rishilpi
  • Conducted recruitment and orientation  new staffs
  • Compensation management and settlement to the staffs.
  • Conducted Annual Performance Evaluation of 275 staffs.

Finance and Account 

  • Ensured that the Books of accounts of six project  are maintained  properly
  • Organized external audit and worked with Internal Audit.
  • Made compliance rules and regulation (VAT, Tax)
  • Arranged project approval and fund clearance from NGOAB.
  • Prepared monthly and year ending Financial report to donors.

Support Service  

  • Procurement materials/goods as need for project
  • Building Maintenance ( Repairing/ Painting)
  • Construction building and CPS school.
  • Monitoring the Security work.

Internal Audit 

  • Organized monthly project audit  as per plan
  • Ensured compliance is made according to the audit report.
  • Ensured the proper control of financial resource management.
  • Project audit report prepared and Sharing

Communication and Documentation   

  • Monthly News letter, Quarterly News Letter are prepared and published
  • Prepared 40 CPS Annual report by March Every year.

Project Name : Amar Sonar Poribar (ASP)

Brief of activities :

Amar Sonar Paribar (My Golden Family) is one of the key components of Rishilpi Education Support Program (ESP). ASP is a dynamic approach to promote the awareness in the community to prevent Child marriage.

ASP was established as a special project on 8th July 2003 with a dream to build a Sonar Paribar (Golden Family) ensuring very young girls education by preventing early marriage. ASP carry on some objectives to reach its' goal effectively, those are:

  • Promote girl child education by ensuring educational assistance for poor girls of disadvantaged community. 
  • Child marriage prevention through awareness campaign, community mobilization, advocacy meeting and ASP group meeting.
  • Reduce repression of women caused by dowry creating community awareness and discourage dowry system in marriages.
  • Women empowerment ensuring the life skill training, complete the higher education and engage women in income generating activities (job/service)
  • Gender equity in the family and the society ensuring equal opportunity for boys and girls.
  • Promotion of women rights preparing the girl child through education and training to engage in decision making in family and the society

The realization of the golden family is a dream, but could become reality, thanks to the joint efforts of ASP members, the local community and Italian donors.

Progetto Uomo Rishilpi International dreams of a society where every girl has the opportunity to complete her studies and can build her “Golden Family”, a place where to  live happy with honor and dignity.

Amar Sonar Swapno

ASS is a special concern of ESP to prevent child marriage and build a golden dream for the teenager boys. Starting January 2017, Rishilpi has introduced an additional program called Amar Sonar Swapno or My Gold Dream. Every teenager boy who completed primary education is qualified to be a member of ASS. This program is aimed at young students who tomorrow will become fathers, brothers, grandparents, uncles. The purpose of the program is to promote the importance of early warning males in early men.

 

Project Name : Rishilpi Water Treatment Plant Project

Brief of activities :

WTP is one of the important components of Rishilpi program to ensure safe drinking water for the entire campus and subsequently for the beneficiaries who are living in surrounding villages of Rishilpi, through maintenance and enhancement of water filter devices. The plant has been built with the kind donation by a group of Italian friends. There is also a laboratory for water analysis that has being working to test the quality of the filtered water coming out from the different water devices:  

  • WTP machine is producing more than 12000 m3 (metric cubic) of portable water per year, giving benefit to around 2050 people every day.
  • Bio-Sand Filters are installed in 40 CPS, giving benefit to more than 1950 students every day
  • Community Filter (CF) installed in 40 Villages and about 8500 people are getting benefit.
  • Community Awareness meeting and campaign with community people are arranged every year. Around 3000 people have the opportunity to participate to the awareness meetings about safe drinking water management, once in a year.

 

 

Project Name : Rehabilitation for Children with Disability

Brief of activities :

Rishilpi Health and Rehabilitation program is serving the poor and most vulnerable disabled people since 1980. The aim of the project is to rehabilitate the disabled persons both in physically and socially. Almost 1,500 Persons with disability (PwD) received services from the project both in main center and CBR center among them 80% are Children with Disability (CwD). Rehabilitation service includes:

  • Physiotherapy to maximize the physical abilities and physical rehabilitation of Person with Disability.
  • Special education for intellectual development of disabled children including mental, emotional, psychosocial, speech & communication and cognitive development that lead to inclusive the students in general education.
  • Occupational therapy for enhance the capacity of Activities Daily Living (ADL) of children with disability.
  • Children with Autism are receiving services from Rishilpi and every year about 100 children enrolled in this centre. 
  • Social rehabilitation for ensuring Inclusive education, livelihood security, and medical care and promote the rights of children with disability.
  • Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) is an approach to reach the services at community level through 5 CBR centers where about 1500 Persons with Disability  receive rehabilitation services every year. It has physiotherapy arrangement for disabled person both child and adult as well as has special education and inclusive education support for disabled children.

 

 

Project Name : Edcuation for Unperpriveleged Children

Brief of activities :

Since 1994 Education program is working to promote education rights for the underprivileged children and operating schools in the rural community. Every year around 2500 students are enrolled in the program. The main objective of education program is to create opportunities for the children of disadvantaged communities for education to be an agent of transformation of the society which ultimate contributes to increase the national literacy rate and make a sustainable community in future. The program has many arrangements for education:

  • In Rishilpi campus it has day a care center, an Early Learning Centre, a Pre-primary school, Primary School and High School; every year about 412 students enrolled in the school
  • The project has 40 Community Primary Schools in the village and each school average 50 students are studying in two shifts.
  • It has 5 SCE (Special Care for Education) and 5 SS (Special School) for the students of Rishi community.

 

Project Name : Education Support For The disadvantaged Children

Brief of activities :

Rishilpi Education Support Program works for the change of the Community by ensuring quality of education for the children. It has many sponsored students who are studying with the sponsorship support from many kind hearted people in Italy. They adopt the students and sending encouragement; ESP provides educational materials to the children with this assistance   i.e.  Books, tuition fees, exercise books, pens, pencils, geometry boxes, school dress, shoes with this assistance to the children. Rishilpi communicates with sponsors and links them with their sponsored children. Many Children already have completed higher education and made their ways of better livelihood. The program has been providing education support for thousands of students since 1989.

  • Enrolled 2300 poor students in the program, 43% of them from the minority and professionally decimated community and 53 % are girls.
  • Provide education support (Books, Khata, Pen, Pencils, School dress, Tuition fees etc) for all sponsored students.
  • Ensure primary Medical care for poor students and children with disability.
  • Provide nutrition support for very young children.
  • Early Marriage Prevention through ASP, Early Marriage Prevention Committee (EMPC) form with local elite, elected body and school teachers, it has 21 EMPC where 147 EMPC members are working actively.
