Brief of activities :

Goal/Objectives

To promote resource-efficient and climate-resilient green growth among microenterprises (MEs) by enhancing their capacity, access to finance, and environmental management systems, leading to increased productivity, income, and sustainability of microenterprise operations, particularly for women entrepreneurs.

 

Major Component/Activities

  • Enabling capacity and systems for green growth of MEs
    • Non-revenue generating common facilities established or upgraded and operational, owned by ME clusters that have women on their management committees.
    • Supported MEs tracking at least one environmental key performance indicator: m3 of wastewater, kWh energy, solid waste in tons, ammonia in parts per billion, and CO2 equivalent of GHG emissions.
  • Providing Access to Finance for MEs to enable green growth
    • Climate-resilient RECP profiles prepared and validated for female-owned MEs.
    • Loans provided to MEs committed to adopting at least two climate-resilient RECP practices.
    • Revenue-generating common facilities established or upgraded, and operational
  • Project Management, Communications, Monitoring, Evaluations, and Knowledge Management
    • Environmental and Climate Change Units (ECCUs) are established and operational at POs.
    • Environmental clubs are established and operational at ME clusters.
    • Grievances registered related to delivery of project benefits addressed in a timely fashion.

Project Name : Professor Sharif Hossain Scholarship for Higher Education

Brief of activities :

Goal/Objectives

Ensure accessibility in higher education of students from poor families.

To make the ways of higher education easy for poor and meritorious students of JCF working areas and staff whose education life are suffering for financial hardship.

Fund

The fund is created by 1% monthly salary contribution of JCF staff. The amount of scholarship is fixed by considering one student’s minimum requirement.

Qualification for the Candidates

  • SSC and HSC passed (GPA 4.5 without the 4th subject in both exams)
  • Students who are interested to get higher education but don’t have financial capability
  • Interested to assist needy students financially in future. 

 

Project Name : Saline Tolerant Rice Seed production, processing and marketing

Increase saline tolerant rice production at farmer level.

  • Paddy collection after production from farmers
  • Paddy processing and preservation in BADC

Project Name : Health Assistance Program

Brief of activities :

 

Goal/Objective

To reduce rate of illness, ensure proper treatment and develop economic condition through health awareness and direct support.

Major Component/Activities

  • Health checkup of pregnant mother
  • Provide health support and treatment to children
  • Primary health service for women
  • Identify patients who are suffering from specific diseases (as per JCF criteria)
  • Conduct operation for the selected patients by the registered doctors
  • Maintain communication with different hospital and doctors
