Brief of activities :
RLS and the Project Partner (Research Initiatives, Bangladesh) jointly organise and implement a cooperation project in the People's Republic of Bangladesh. The purpose of the project is to promote ecological principles in Bangladesh as an alternative approach to agriculture production
Major Objective:
- Promote agro-ecological principles as an alternative approach to agriculture production in Bangladesh.
Specific Objectives:
- To facilitate local, indigenous and sustainable agricultural practices through adopting agro-ecological principles.
- To strengthen the understanding of the farmers and practitioners on recent global and local knowledge agro-ecology and the environmental concerns and challenges.
- To conduct advocacy among politicians, policy makers and eminent citizens based on the understanding , learning and knowledge on agriculture & climate change.
Project components:
There are mainly three components of the project: (1) Participatory Action, (2) Schools on Agro-ecology and (3) Advocacy

- Dhaka (for organizing central level activities and advocacy at national level)

Expected Outcomes:
- Members of PAR groups and local activities in the field of agriculture use the educational materials provided by RIB to further disseminate the achieved knowledge
- Farmer’s organisations/collectives and communities are enabled to use alternative methods to address the agrarian crisis
